My 1st baby boy page!

So, amid the craziness that is life with three kids, I finally made time to scrap a page for Austin's book! I loved the pictures we took of the girls meeting him in the hospital, so these pictures made my decision of where to start pretty easy!  See how proud the big sisters are?!

Seeing their smiles just warmed my heart!

I used paper from a baby boy stack from Die Cuts With a View (I think it's only sold at Michaels) that I bought shortly after the ultrasound revealed that we were having a boy so I could buy more scrapbooking paper!! (I may have a paper hoarding problem, but I know I'm not the only one in the scrapbooking world with that problem! lol!) Anyway, I really liked this stack because the papers are all soft blues, browns and greens.  The primary colors may grow on my eventually for boy pages, but I'm definitely not there yet!

I hope to get in my scrap room more since Austin is starting to nap regularly...there's just always so much to do around this house that I've neglected that hobby a bit.  I really do miss it! I was looking through some pictures of pages and cards that I made over the years and really felt inspired.  I have been making some cute cards for a project I've been donating to for the past few years, but I've done very little besides that and this page...oh well, little by little, I'll make more time for scrapbooking!
Enjoy!

Here's the reason I've been MIA..

So, I know I've been MIA lately...I promise it's for a good reason...
My baby boy was born almost 1 month ago now!
It's left me with very little time to blog, let alone scrap anything new!  But, he's so cute, I just thought I'd share a pic or two...

Hopefully I'll have some time to be creative sometime soon, but in the meantime, I'm adding to the pile of photos to be scrapped... ;)

A couple new pages

I was able to get into my craft room the other day and get some pages finished.  Baby #3 is due in a few short weeks so I know I won't get much craft time in for a while after his arrival.  I think I mentioned before that I keep an 8x10 picture frame on my kitchen counter with a page documenting this time last year and I didn't want that to fall behind when the baby was born, especially not during this time of year, when there are so many things going on...back to school, Halloween and great fall photos! So here is my back to school page:
I was also inspired by these photos from last summer with my girls and my older brother, Kevin.  This 12x12 is framed and hanging in my craft room now as I really liked how it turned out!

So, just thought I'd share.  Hoping to add the finishing touches to a couple more 8x10 pages tomorrow to have ready for the coming months.

Some new scrapbook pages! (Finally!)

So, I finally broke out of my funk a little here and pushed out some pages!!  I really enjoyed it too!  I broke myself back in with this page of some sweet pictures of DD#1 at 13 months. (Please forgive the bad photo quality--it has been storming all day!  But I wanted to get a post up!!)

I love each of these pictures and had a nice stroll down memory lane when I dug them out of the box!  I cannot believe she will be 7 this summer, it does not seem so long ago since she was my little baby!

Now, I think I was nervous to do these pages because I LOVE these photos and I was afraid of not doing them justice on a page!  These pictures were taken by my Aunt Sue in her beautiful garden, then she added some touches in photoshop to soften them.  My girls so enjoyed pretending to be in a 'secret fairy garden' for the photo shoot as well.  I plan to frame these in my scrap room so I can enjoy them everyday!

I bought these Heidi Grace papers a couple of weeks ago and knew that it would be perfect for these pages!  I think I'm going to leave out titles unless I can think of the perfect phrase.  I stamped the each of my daughter's names along the side of their picture and I think that may be enough for now.  We'll see...any suggestions? Anyone else do this (pages without titles)?

Hi There!

Hi fellow scrappers!  Sorry I've been MIA lately (thanks for the lovely comment about that, scrappy cottage)....I seem to have lost my mojo :(  I suspect it may have something to do with this pregnancy of mine--I'm just sooooo tired.  Between keeping up with the house work and Ashley's homework and my night shifts at the hospital a couple nights a week, I'm just exhausted!  But, there is hope!  My sister is coming over this weekend and she wants to help me re-organize my scrap mess  room, so maybe going through all my stuff will inspire me to use some of it, lol!  I hope so, I miss scrapping!!  I'll keep you posted if I do get inspired!  Thanks for hanging in there with me!

Ashley's Unbirthday Treat

My oldest daughter, Ashley, has a summer birthday.  Fun for the party, but she misses out on celebrating with her friends at school. :(  So this year, her teacher sent home a note encouraging  Ashley to send a treat for her 1/2 birthday with the class!  Needless to say, she was super excited and decided immediately that she wanted rice crispie treats.  Well, those are easy to make, but leave little room for craftiness.  So, I decided I could at least make some cute tags, right?  Then I remembered that she has 25 classmates, so I decided to keep it simple, but she loved it!

Pretty cute, right?  I printed the text out from the computer, cut it out with a circle punch and added it to a scalloped circle tag cut from the birthday bash cartridge. Then I tied the tag on with curling ribbon...easy peasy!
